MEMORIAL

Because many of my pets are rescues and come from bad environments they don't always live the longest of lives. Plus some just have short lives. But that doesn't lessen the love.

Black Cat Inyo

Inyo

Inyo is a county in California located on the Eastern side of the Sierra Nevada. The volcanic activity in the area has left black scars on the mostly barren countryside, so it seemed like an appropriate name for a slim black cat.

Inyo and Imp arrived together but were not littermates. I presume the owner got Inyo to keep Imp company, but all I know is that Imp was living with his mother and father and Inyo was a couple weeks older than him.

A clingy cat, Inyo bonded with me and didn't ever change at all. In fact, any errors when I wrote this were probably because it's difficult to type with an Inyo perched on you and his fat head blocking your view.

He never really care for other cats, mostly tolerated them or considered them with disdain. He was a people cat and had the attitude to match.

Mickey the Mouse

The obligatory male mouse name actually suited this sweet little boy. He was very friendly and outgoing, loved attention and was quite gregarious.

Male mice are my favorites but can be problematic because while mice are social creatures and need friends male mice cannot be left in with female mice and will fight, possibly to the death, with other male mice.

Thus it's important to give them lots of space and attention and Mickey knew this and demanded his fair share.
